Town 3 - 2 Crewe

A second home game in 5 days and Town have now collected 4points from the 2 games. Todays visitors Crewe came to the Galpharm sitting in 24th but climbed up to 23rd due to Hereford losing by a bigger margain.

Crewe didnt bring many fans but the fans they brought showed they didnt want current manager Steve Holland at the club any longer. The game then started and Town started bright and at a high tempo. Town got rewarded with there goal in the 20th minute as Andy Butler scored in the 6 yard box. It was basically a scramble in the area and Butler finnally got the ball in via a volley on his second attempt. Town then doubled there advantage in the 39th minute. Ian Craney the scorer as he curled the ball into the top right hand corner. Just a minute later though Crewe scored after Glennon came for the ball but missed it and Clayton Donaldson made advantage of the open net and put Crewe back in the game. The half time whistle went and Town had played well but couldnt go in to the game with a bigger advantage than 1 goal.

After 59mins Donaldson doubled his tally for the game as he got through the Town defence due to a super ball from midfielder Joe Grant. There were suspicions of offside though and the Town fans didnt seem to take it to the heart. In a game they were in control of they had now messed it up and the game was level at 2-2. Town then didnt play well after that and the game got frustrating for the fans. It then took a 88th minute brace from Keigan Parker has he scored his first goal for the club. Curling the ball into the far top corner. Relief for the Town fans as they screemed and cheered but even after that the fans were still chanting 'Ternant out'. In the 90th minute Parker then got sent off for a second bookable offence for hand ball.

The attendance was 11,679 today and thanks to that win Town have moved up to 16th in the league and are 4 points from the relegation zone.
